Thanksgiving Mr Hanky I was just curious as to the time frame from submitting the D-260 and the AOS and IV packets to hearing something it doesn’t really say a timeline from that point to receiving a checklist hope this makes sense and thanks for your help! I appreciate your response!

It is a long wait even if it was a month! lol. But yeah, we delayed sending AOS & IV packages mainly because I'm working out of town so it was such a pain to make up my schedule and get the police clearance completed. I had to get a letter form the US consulate, go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to notarize it, take it to the Police Station - Criminal Investigation Department, then wait (about month and a half because of holidays), then take it to a translation office, and finally go to the Chamber of Commerce to notarize the translation. Just imagine all of this while you have between 1-2 days in town each week. So, what I wasn't able to do in a given day will wait for a week. Felt like never ending process.

Noticed that standard timelines would be between 7-11 weeks. And will be faster towards the end of the year. I guess this has to do with the quota of other types of immigrant visas reaching the limit.

NVC is moving fast these days. I can't wait for the interview. I'm happy that my wife will be around for it. So, double happiness! :D

Thank you
