Hi all,

I will be mailing my ROC package in the next few days (GC expires on 12/22.)

I have a few questions:

- Tax return: do we need to send the full document (hundreds of pages) or only the main pages?

- Affidavit: is it fine to ask family members to do it? I was going to ask my father-in-law as well as my sister-in-law, but I read from another poster that USCIS wouldn't accept affidavits from family, is it true?

AOS Timeline:
August 29, 2015: AOS package mailed to the USCIS in Chicago.
August 31, 2015: AOS package delivered.
September 8, 2015: NOA1 received by text and email (4 receipt numbers).
September 12, 2015: NOA1 received by mail (3 receipt numbers).
September 14, 2015: NOA1 received by mail (1 receipt number).
September 18, 2015: Biometrics appointment letter received for October 1, 2015.
September 22, 2015: Biometrics done. Early walk-in at a different ASC.
September 30, 2015: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
November 11, 2015: EAD card is being produced (Form I-765) and Form I-131 is approved.
November 12, 2015: Form I-765 is approved.
November 15, 2015: Interview scheduled on December 22, 2015.
November 16, 2015: EAD card mailed to me.
November 19, 2015: EAD/AP card received.
December 22, 2015: AOS Interview. Approved on spot.

December 31, 2015: Green Card received.

October 16, 2017: Biometrics appointment letter received for October 23, 2017.

-Better to put Tax transcripts, you can get it downloaded from IRS website.

-You can get affidavits form family members, not a problem.

Thank you!

Also, I forgot to mention my father-in-law was our co-sponsor (my husband was in grad school at the time.) Can he still write the affidavit letter or is it better to ask someone else?

Hi! My residence expires on 10/02 😳 Just sent the package last monday 09/18, it arrived on 09/19, the check was cashed today 09/21. I was a little bit worried because my 90 days window was almost over, but today after I saw the check was cashed I breathed again 😬😬😬 ... I hope all of you have a smooth and easy process-wait!

My step-father co-sponsored my spouse as well and we still included an affidavit letter from him in our packet. I honestly wouldn't fret too much about it. Affidavits are like the cherry on top, (especially useful if you have a weak application, but just extra proof if you're packet is strong in other areas) there's not too much weight put on them. I would just include it and not worry :)

We're in a similar spot! My spouse's residence expires on 10/15. We submitted a money order from Western Union....I checked today and it still hadn't been cashed :( (we mailed the packet 9/16) Did you send a money order or just a regular check?

I mailed the documentation 9/14 and it was received 9/15 in the morning) and postmarked 9/18, I didn't see my check as withdrawn on my account until 9/19. Now waiting on my Biometrics letter and I will go renew my DL next week :)

I'm not sure which service center you're going through. I am through the one in California and they replied. Could it be that maybe they couldn't cash the check (mistake on it, wrong amount,...)? Then, they'd have to return you the package. For the California service center, I put the check in the first folder, right with the I751, I used a paper clip to attach it to it.

I am going throughout Vermont. I put $680 cashier's check. And I just called and the bank stated it wasn't cashed yet.

Just curious. Has anyone received an noa from uscis yet? I filed last Friday sept 15 and i noticed I should b expecting something from them tomorrow. It seems like it's the thick paper with the torch in the background. Could that be my extension letter. I'm just eager to find out if they've accepted my petition. I'm currently with child n my brain is frazzled I keep thinking I missed something. 🙏🏾

Thanks @ Jonmar70

I have another question. I always get confused on who is the petitioner, the conditional resident or USC spouse ? This is in regards to form I-751 part 7 and part 8.
