Hello everyone! I'm working for the k-1 visa. I have to take the appointment for the interview at the embassy, but I did not finish all vaccinations! I miss 4 to finish it all but it will take too long between a vaccination and the other. Can I continue them in america? Do I have to fill in a special form?

Missing shots is not a problem at K-1 stage. However, you'll need to get them in the US before filing for AOS. When you do that, you'll need a USCIS civil surgeon to transcribe your vaccinations record to the I-693.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

AOS = adjustment of status

After getting married, you'll need to file I-485 (adjustment of status) + I-765 (employment authorization document) + I-131 (advance parole).

You'll be adjusting from a K-1 to a conditional permanent resident. The I-765/EAD will allow you to work whilst the I-131/AP will enable you to re-enter the US after short travels outside.

You don't need all the vaccinations - only those that are considered age appropriate. For most people, that's just Tdap, MMR, varicella (if you haven't had chicken pox), and flu (in flu season only).
