I just had my interview and the co said that my visa was approved he was so nice and he smiled a lot and I said something funny he laughed. So this is good but I just checked the website and it says Administrative processing WHY?

Visa Class: IR-1.

Country: Jordan.

Embassy: U.S embassy in Amman, Jordan.

Married: May 28, 2015.

Interview Date: Aug 17, 2017.

Interview Result: Approved.

VISA Received: Aug 21, 2017.

U.S Entry & Passport Stamp: Aug 25, 2017.

Permanent (Green) Card was produced: Oct 9, 2017.

Permanent (Green) Card was mailed to me: Oct 11, 2017.

Received My Social Security Card: Oct 29, 2017.

First Job in America: Dec 21, 2017.

Received Plastic Green Card in the mail (Permanent Resident Card): Mar 16, 2018.

N-400 Applied: May 28, 2020.

N-400 NOA: June 1, 2020.

Bio: June 19, 2021.

Interview: July 23, 2021.

Ceremony: Aug 13, 2021.

Don't panic.  ALL visas go through some form of Administrative Processing---every one!  Every case is different, and some countries require more time.  It could take a few days, weeks, or months......

UPDATE!!!! My status changed from "Administrative Processing" to "ISSUED" this morning!!! apparently if there are no issued with your case, your status might change from AP to issued in 24 hrs. Someon

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

Don't panic.  ALL visas go through some form of Administrative Processing---every one!  Every case is different, and some countries require more time.  It could take a few days, weeks, or months..........but it sounds like everything is good......just be patient..

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Heey.. You're not alone in AP world. But at least you heard the comforting words "your Visa is approved".  I had my interview on Tuesday and at the end, the consular said everything looks good but they still need to do some checks, and that if I don't hear from them, I'll get my Visa within 2wks. She didn't say it was approved so I'm a little more panicked than you are right now... But we'll get thru this!
