My husband told me that the console was very hard on him, but my husband answered every question that were asked of him. The console asked him the same question twice but in different ways. I think the interview went well for him. Because if he wanted to deny my husband he would have done so at his interview. He gave my husband a white paper and he only put an X on Administrative processing. He told my husband that he is not approve nor denied and they would contact him in a month but we have not heard of anything as of yet. The console did Not put an X next to his passport I mistakenly said the first time. The console gave my husband back his passport which in my opinion I don't think is a bad thing like some people have said because I have read on VJ that this has happen to some people on here where they sent in their passport on a later date. So I have hope, faith and I trust God and he is in control. Was the console that interviewed you a very young man like in his 30's.. Window.. I think 14 or 15.?

Yesss it was this one on widow 14, actually he wasn't extremely rude but he was yes kinnda aggressive and hard, the woman b for him that I handled my paper to was very rude actually and acting in a bad way, and yes I think if they wanna deny they would have already did it, maybe they wanna do some security checks or something I dunno, what just bothers me is that in most cases when they wanna do checks they keep the passport.

That bothers me too that they didn't take his passport but I have talked to someone hear on VJ that just got approved a few months ago and he is in the states now. He also had the same person Interview him. He also told me that the same man has interviewed some of his friends in the past and he didn't take their passport just put them on AP but got approved later on and had to send in their passport. So that gives me hope knowing this.

AP can take a long time so in those circumstances the Passport is often returned, depends on the Consulate.

Impossible to say how long, each case is individual, probably weeks and months rather than months and years.

My husband had his interview on July 6, 2017 in Cairo also but for CR1 and the console gave him the same paper and his passport back and marked administrative processing and passport The console told him that they would contact him in a month and it's now August 14 and we have not heard of anything. The console did keep chats, photos. There is an age difference. We are not losing hope, but its so frustrating not knowing how long he will be on AP.😢 Hope you get contacted soon so you can be with your loved one.😊

My husband and I went on the interview June 12. The console though us a month also but in the Dominican Republic is a CR1 case. On August 10 the console  show up at his house asking him some  of the questions ask at the day of the interview. They when around the neighborhood asking people if they knew us. The console though him they will notify him by email about there decision. So they when  2 days before the 2 month. I know it frustrating when they tell you a month and it actually takes more then a month. Like you said don't loose hope. I'm older then my husband by 10 years but who cares. As long as there love that, that's all that matters.

How long is your passport valid for? It could mean you need a new passport, as the validity is supposed to be 6 months out.

Sorry I was reading quickly and noticed you already answered that.
