Good day! I just need some help. 😞 I have filled an I-130 petition for my husband, received February 21, 2017. And still pending waiting for some update about my petition but I am currently here in the Philippines due to an emergency. I've been here since June. Not working in the US, no job obviously because I am here. I dont have salary/income right now. Will this cause any problem on my petition? I will still go back there maybe after a couple of months then when I got there I will look for a job. And lastly, do I need to change my maiden name to my married name on my greencard and ss? Coz when I filled the I-130 petition, I used my married name but I haven't change my surnames on my ss, greencard and passport yet. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!! ♥️♥️♥️

Are you a US citizen?

I am a permanent resident. I got my NOA1 already. I have my receipt number. Just worried about my situation right now.

OK.

You are aware that the process for spousal visa for permanent residents take 2 years, right? You still have a while to wait. It has only been 6 months.

If you are not working by the time your husband's case is ready you will need a cosponsor.
