From your PS in the above comment, it seems that you really need your wife there by a certain date and you're not concerned about her being able to work. 

 

CR-1 can take you 12-14 months. Yes it's waaay cheaper. 

K-1 can take 7-9 months.

 

She can't enter the US on B1 visa, marry and then adjust status as it's illegal. However she could go on B1 visa, marry, comeback to home country and then do CR-1 (I-130, NVC, embassy)

If you are not concerned with her working right away, then file the K-1.  The K-1 will get her here quicker.  The only advantage of the CR-1 is that she would receive the green card directly and be eligible to work.  If that isn't an issue, then coming on a K-1 and waiting to Adjust Status isn't a big deal.

If I may, I can testify that the worst part of a CR-1 is the waiting.  We filed for our CR-1 in late April 2016. I visited her in Taiwan in April 2017.  My wife had the visa in hand on May 12, 2017.  In only 11 days after entering the US in June, her Social Security card arrived in the mail.  Then in less than 2 weeks later, her official Green Card arrived........Next action will be Removal of Conditions in 2 years.

Advantages of a CR-1:  (1) Less expensive, I hear (2) Spouse can work immediately after entering US and receiving SS card (3) No AOS required.

Go for the CR1/spousal. She can visit you while the process is taking place.

Thank you for all the great recommendations and the knowledge i gained in two days for the proper procedure and what is the best option in my case and the differences. I will marry her when she gets here next month, then she will head back, file the I-130 and go from there. CR-1 it is.Yes, it is a  little more time, but saving 1k and the fact that she will get her GC once the CR-1 is complete.

An I-130A is required for a spouse with an I-130.
