You should also look into the spousal visas guides. Spousal visa takes a bit longer but it is cheaper overall. So study both. A lot of people regret doing the K1. Others, with more money, care more about being together faster and the fiance does not mind not doing anything nor working for 4 months after marriage.

Well, you'll need:

1) Current version of I-129F

2) G-1145

If you need a waiver of some kind, there will be another form depending on what waiver that applies to you.

G-325A is not needed anymore. Current filing fee is $535.

Be sure to read the guides here help guide you in gathering rwquire and supporting documents to be attached to your petition.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Whether to do K1 or CR1 (spouse) often depends on country as some high fraud countries are not so willing to grant the K1

you don't metion the country in your profile

Putting it  there does help others from same country help you

much information you need is country dependent such as medical exam information, issuance and picking up visa

all embassies are different

I forgot to say that I am still in China and hoping to stay here for as long as I can to save money and only go to the

USA when I absolutely need to.  So I want to start the process now and then move to the USA when it is necessary to

be there.  It seems that it takes 6 months and so I need to

I would get married here but same sex marriage is not legal in China yet so I need to know if I need to move to USA before starting

filing forms.
