I'm sure lots of us filed the 129 f (already married) form for K3 visa which I'm reading is really outdated and now immigration uses CR1. Has anyone filed for K3 and had to go with filing of CR1? If so, what is that process? Anyone from USA who filed for their husband from Ghana???

My husband from US actually filed for K3,which is actually a waste of money because they wouldnt approve your 129f anyway...it will only take you longer...if i were you, just go for the CR1...

I hear that a lot but what's funny is the USCIS website still list processing of the K3's. The service centers don't mention CR1 and it's all bad because seems like more delay on getting our loved ones here. I think when Service Center starts process petition they convert if from K3 to a CR1... God I pray as this process to get your spouse here is really heart breaking and stressful.

I know...they still allow the application but they wouldnt grant it...it took us about 6 months before our 130 got approved...what visa do you applied then?

service centers mention the I-130 not the CR1.  The CR1 is a visa type not a petition.

While the K3 is also a visa type, when at the USCIS the I-129F and the I-130 are adjudicated together. They want to make sure you understand the I-129F will not be adjudicated at the same speed as the I-129F for a fiance visa

I applied for 130 in Nov 2016 then in Dec I applied for K3 for my husband but I hear every where now that K3's are rare and to file CR1 as I've been married to my husband less then 2 yrs. I have a immigration lawyer that filed all my petitions so he better know what he's doing for the price I'm paying him.. By the time I get my husband here I should know this process like I know the back of my hand..... " JUST SAYIN" I have to keep humor otherwise I would cry over the time this process takes. USCIS website says it tries to minimize spouse separation time, but who are they trying to fool... Yeah right.

Considering spousal separation used to be 3-5 years for an IR1...
