That is good to know that it was not resetting the processing priority date for the interviews. At this point, we are 14.5 mo into the wait. It is frustrating waiting, but nothing we can do will push forward the interview. So all we do is wait. At this point, I almost wish it goes to 24 months just to forego the headache of removal of conditions. 

Does this mean we are already eligible for the 24 month removal conditions? Waiting about 1 year for the interview letter but nothing yet. That would be really helpful.

My status also got updated online to "Ready to be scheduled for an interview since March 15 2018..."!!!

I tried to get an infopass appt at the San Francisco office but got a simple generic email from them. They don't allow infopass appts for information purposes!

 

This is all so absurd.

Yey! Last Friday, I have received interview notice. September 14 they mailed it, then September 21 I received it. My interview will be on October 25, 2018. 

My PD is July 12, 2017 .

Congrats and good luck! My PD is July 12 2017 as well. I filed for renewal of EAD/AP last week, feeling hopeless with the San Francisco wait times at this point.

Question for the people who filed for EAD renewal: did you get an automatic 180 day extension? Moreover, did you get your card (and how long did you have to wait)?

You automatically got the 180 day extension (for work, not travel/AP), you should get a letter in the mail that explains as much. I filed in early May, still have yet to receive new EAD/Combo card—my lawyer says this is often taking 6 months to artrive at this point, so I would submit for renewal as early as is allowed.

Thank you. I applied for EAD RENEWAL last August , until now I haven’t received anything except the I-797C. 

 

So that means, I can still continue working because c9 category qualifies for automatic 180days extension since I applied for renewal before it expires? right?

Had our i-485 interview today! E verything went well!

We arrived for our 9:00 am appt early. Sat in the car until 8:30  and headed in. After going through security, we went to the check in line. The guy gave us a number and told us to wait to be called to the door. By the time we got out of that line, it was about 8:50 and we sat down to wait. By 9:00, we were called by an officer to come to the door and he led us back to his office. He took my husband's picture and fingerprints and then asked some very basic questions (address, my name.) I prepared a file with 100 photos and more docs to prove our marriage, he said he didn't need any of it. He did ask for my husband's birth certificate again though, so we gave him that and he took a copy. He realized our medical expired and said we would need to get that but we were pretty much approved pending that. I called the nearest doctor to us when we got in the car and had an appointment for 1 pm today. We just finished that this afternoon and they said the medical report should be ready by Friday. The officer also wrote on the RFIE for the medical that we were allowed to hand deliver the medical to him -- instead of mailing it in, as he was aware how long we have been waiting for this to happen and didn't want it to be delayed any longer. All in all, a very easy experience. Interview was less than an hour.

Yes. Receiving the NOA1 i-797c notice of receipt, it should have a line where it stated about the automatic 180days extension should your EAD be expired and you still have yet to receive your new one. Make a photocopy of this notice and submit to  HR if there is a need to clarify your eligibility to cont to work.

Yes. If your interview date / approval date of GC is after your 2nd wedding anniversary date. Your GC should be 10-years, not the conditional, hence save the $$ for removal of conditions. However, be prepared to go for a new Medical checkup prior to approve of GC because all medical record only valid for a year from AOS filing date. So there's some costs for that medical check-up but it'll probably be cheaper than removal of conditional permanent resident.

Duh, has anyone recently applied for EAD and AP renewal? I just mailed off mine on Sep 25, arrived at Sep 27 however, for some reason, there's none USCIS personnel collecting the mail yet up until today since last Friday. Tried calling Chicago Post Office where the P.O. Box of the USCIS located, they wouldn't let me know if they have already collected my mail. I am hoping that it is like how some others' encounter where USCIS has already collected it, but USPS's tracking status update being slow and delayed. Hate to see it being send back to me after the Oct 11 / 12. I am trying to apply for renewal as early as 180 days prior to expired as I heard there is backlog and it may take as long as 6 months to receive the new EAD.
