USCIS Approval Process.

Can anyone tell me, on average, how long it took for the USCIS to approve your visa application and send it to the NVC? My case was received by the USCIS May 11th.

Average time frame right now these days seems 3-5 months for NOA2 approval from USCIS.

 

Ours was 48 days last fall.

If you look at the March 2017 filers thread, the average is about 100 something days but nothing near 4 nor 5 months so far  On the other hand, some February 2017 haven't gotten their NOA2 and apparently, there was also an odd occurrence of extremely early approval for a few end-of-April 2017 petitions. So really, it is very hard to be certain. Just sit back and enjoy the ride  And all the best!

USCIS doesn't approve visa applications. They adjudicate petitions. The COs at the embassies deal with visa applicants.

 

It's currently taking 3-4 months on average to adjudicate an I-129F for a K-1. Some are taking a little less, and some are still outstanding after 6+ months (including a few tens of Nov. filers).

Wait according to your timeline you havent had your interview yet and your petition was filed in 2015. Is that correct ?

That's correct because we got stuck in security checks which took a year.

we applied for IR-1/CR-1 Visa but they usually take the amount of time. (I mean at the USCIS)

They denied his visa after the Interview, according to your timeline. If you dont mind me asking, not to pry, but how old is your fiance. Me and my fiance have a 10 year age difference. He is 30 and I am 40. That worries me😩

Thank you everyone for your responses and encouragement! My fiancee and I are very eager for the time we do get to hear about our NOA2 approval and just another step closer to being together. Time is virtue.
