I'm coming up on the 1 year anniversary of my job, I worked with this employer before for about 6 months as well and then left to go to Chile (plans changed and I came back to the USA and we are pursuing the K1 visa). I make over the 125% poverty line but my savings is not THAT great. 

Should I get a sponsor?

Seven visits between 7/19/2015 - 7/9/2017 (Five me to Chile, Two him to USA)

Engaged .... 11/17/2015

As long your income is sufficient then you'll be fine.  Savings are not a requirement a source of income is if no source of income you need significant savings.    Note that the %125 percent is based on household size so if it's more than just you and your future wife the money amount is higher.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
