I emailed them but they just send you a generic reply that passport is with the post/consulate. Then i called them and told them the situation and the operator escalated the issue to the consulate/post. Apparently the help line in Karachi not in Islamabad. I emailed on Friday and they told me i will get a response in 24-48 hours but nothing yet.

I pray and hope that we get our visas issued soon.

Aameen

i use this IV inquir method to contact embassy. I noticed embassy reply you back within 1 or 2 days. But drawback of this method is I only can type 140 characters. I don't have embassy phone number.

To be honest I didn't know that part. Eveytime I had question to Embassy I always use this method to contact them even though my parents had medical issue, interview date change issue. May be my case goes under different categories that's why.

In Immigration visa inquirie page embassy said they don't take phone calls for immigration visa. We only can contact them via fax, IV method, letter or emails

My parents had attend an interview in January 2017 for immigration visa. They got 221g letter mentioning submit more documents. Mean while there status were Ready on Ceac.status. After submitting on Ceac status changed to A.P. But After 2 weeks Ceac changed date for 3 days in a row then status changed to Ready. It's been 8 weeks on both case date has changed twice  but status is same **ready**

I emailed to embassy and there reply is

****Our records indicates that the visa application for this immigrant visa case is still pending under administrative processing.  Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict how long this processing may take.  The wait could possibly be quite lengthy.  However, please rest assured that as soon as this processing is finished, we will contact the applicant using the contact information he/she has provided on his/her application.***

I don't know what's going on is anyone who went through with same situation? If case is

under AP why Ceac status has changed to ***Ready***

This happen to me and that email they send to my attorney too when she make inquiry to us embassy and 221 g white form and if they request for additional documents mean horrible administrative processing you know I am waiting since 6 months now and my case status went like this administrative processing then ready then administrative processing then ready now it's stuck in ready status and my status say ready for interview how about your parents status says?

I called and it was answered by an call center agent and I told him the scenario about my case and they escalated the issue to consulate/post. Because apparently they are located in Karachi.

In which visa category you attend interview? What they gave you at interviews 221g for additional documents or 221g for administrative inquiry? According to my knowledge if embassy asked additional documents it mean visa will issue as they receives documents. I don't know why it's taking so long for my parents. If embassy give anyone administrative inquiry that can take longer. Well my parents visa seem stuck on ready.

Lawyer cannot do anything if visa is in US embassy.

According to my personal experience  if embassy asked additional documents it mean visa will issue as they receive documents. I don't know why it's taking so long for my parents. If embassy give anyone administrative inquiry that can take longer. When I came to USA we were 4 cousins attended interviews only I got AP paper rest got additional documents. Everyone came to USA within 3months of interview but I came after 2 year. I hope u don't go through from all these. It's really painful and frustrating to wait for visa. Because you cannot do anything neither job nore take admission in University.

Well my parents visa seem stuck on ready.

Lawyer cannot do anything if visa is in US embassy. I wish u good luck.

Yes I am agree but in my point of view Visit visa or Any temporary visa should go for AP not an immigration visa. Because immigrant visa take many years to reach for interview before the interview us visa section should collect all security information instead putting them for AP.

Just remember things happen for a reason. May Allah give best reward to everyone who is heaving hard time to get visa and make this time easy for them Ameen
