Hello everyone,

My question is, is it possible for me to get a greencard?

Ive lived here almost all my life, studied , and worked here. I'm actually noworking a DACA work permit holder, which is a blessing.and I'm re-applying this year again. If anyone know of any cases that are similar to mine, born in a different country and been here for almost all their live, and been able to apply and get a greencard. Or if you guys know of anyway I can try to apply or program I quality for would help so much, thanks in advance. I've asked immigration lawyers, I'm still waiting for a reply. Thanks again.

On what basis are you trying to obtain LPR status (i.e. get a green card)? For example, do you have a family member legally in the US that can petition for you? Did you enter the US with or without inspection?

I have a brother that's a citizen, and I entered the US with inspection on a family visa back in 1990. I don't know if my brother can petition me. I've been looking online for people's advice/help on the topic.any advice or tips you can give me would be huge help thanks.

Thanks for the info!

Well, your brother could petition you, but it's a LOOOOONG wait. To be more specific, the wait is over 25 years. Anything could happen by the time a visa becomes available...including the visa category going away.

There aren't many options here for a green card, to be honest. The "usual" circumstance here is to be married to a US citizen then having them petition you as a spouse of a USC.

Without a relative to petition for you, your next best bet is to have a company sponsor you...but I'll be upfront that the chances of finding an employer to do this are not great. Furthermore, I don't know how DACA impacts the overstay component to know if a waiver would be needed, sorry (it's not in the above circumstance).
