Is anyone planning to do the N-400 before the ROC is processed? I am eligible to apply around March 1, and from what I see, most of us are unlikely to get ROCs decided until May. I would be applying in Boston, which from everywhere I see is really fast at processing N-400s (4-6 months). I am leaning toward doing it... ANyone else in the same boat?

I think I will do it too. I'm a CSC filer and the wait is just too long right now! I think I'll be eligible to file for N-400 around March 26th. But I have no idea how bad the backlog might be in my local office.

Hi, I'm thinking the same thing. I also do live here in Greater Boston, 15 minutes away from the city. I'm just not sure about the cons of doing it.I'm eligible around 4/2/18 though. Thanks for the info btw. Regards.

I just read a message in the Jan or Feb Filers board that we would run the risk of having our I-751 pulled or requested by the local office to be processed with the N-400.  Since VSC may be processing our April I-751 during March of this year, I felt that it's too close to rock the boat.  On the other hand, if you are a CSC filer...

I would think that you are close.  The Feb 2017 Filers show 8 off 28 VSC approvals this month.  Wishing you a quick approval!!
