Hi guys congratulations to all the April approvals  🎉 Very happy for u guys (a bit jealous too🙈)

I am an April 17th NOA1 and I need suggestions... I kinda miss calculated or hoped for the best and booked tickets to go meet my Fiancé and I leave on the 13th of July... I thought I would have my NOA2 by thn but following all the filers it looks like I won't have it any soon... I am with my fiancé till the end of August... hoped to go to the interview with him and he was planning on flying back with me...  He is still positive that we will be approved by thn but I can't just sit and wait anymore it's been 71 days and it just says case received.... I don't know what to do 😔

we the have the same received date! looking forward to finish this journey before our anniversary which is end of august.

Good Luck 😊 ... hopefully April filers get lucky and approved the first week of July 🙈 (High hopes) I'm generally a very patient person (preschool teacher) but this is making me lose my mind

I'm sorry this happened to you, but come to this point there's mostly two things you can do: either you change your plans to visit to a later date or just go on as planned, assuming most likely your fiance won't be traveling back to the US with you.

I think it's quite improbable you finish the process before September. First, you still don't have the NOA2, which is being sent in an average of over 100 days, which would put you in the end of July. Also you don't even know when that will happen really. You can get lucky and have it in the estimated date or before... Or not, and wait for 4-5 months or even worse.

Then you have to go through the NVC, which usually takes not less than 3 weeks, up to 6 if you get unlucky.

Then you have to do all the Embassy stage steps, whatever those are for your country. Normally you should wait until they contact you to proceed, because I keep seeing people making mistakes just because they didn't wait and scheduled the interview too soon or skipped an important step. You have to follow the steps carefully, being prepared beforehand is the only wise way to save time.

I don't know. Hope a miracle happens and you can still make it. I myself I'm aiming to be done by end of September or October, knowing it might be later.

Good luck.

That's weird, because usually the scans work by date, as the numbers are assigned in an orderly by date manner mostly (not always).

And they are supposed to be working around mid March... So I don't understand how they can be in April, not to mention end of the month.

Puzzled and clueless, lol

EDIT. Did you know for a fact they are forms i129F? Because there's other types that they get approved faster.

EDIT2. Not to mention the tracker doesn't really update for approval except once in a blue moon... RFE'S are the thing to look for to know where they are working at...

Sorry, my logical mind kicking in and trying to find an explanation :P

I have a sneaking suspicion they are randomly pulling some files to test their new computer system upgrade, and the successful "trial" files are getting approved in a 2 month turnaround time (their goal with the new system) - and any unsuccessful trials just get processed on the normal 3-4 month workflow. I mean, it certainly seems like a random select few are getting bumped more quickly. So maybe a random sample of guinea pig cases.

Hi! Been reading everything on here since I joined in May. I'm an april filer! We filed on the 5th, received on the 6th, and NOA1 on the 11th. Anybody have the same timeline as I do? I'm so excited to think that our NOA2 is coming really soon. Although we don't really know when. I'm keeping it positive! :-) Goodluck to everyone!

I didn't know they were trying a new system, but anything that shortens the processing times will be welcome sure enough, even if we don't benefit from it. :)

We filed 03/30, but have the same received and notice dates. Hoping the estimates are accurate and we can get approved in around 3 weeks from now. But yep... We'll see :P

But... Who knows? You might be approved before some of us from early April. So the important thing is building anticipation without getting too anxious or bitter.

Anyway, sure enough we are closer now than we were when we started this (annoying) process :)

They won't tell you anything more than what you will find on the USCIS website processing time. The last update posted on April 30th put the date at January 15th so that's the date they will quote until another update is posted. It's never been less than a month outdated since I started following the VJ timelines. If you're processing time is past their published date you can then start to escalate it with no guarantee you'll get any more information than you already have.
