Hi. Looks like I'm an April filer too now thanks to USPS.

I don't know what happened to our package but about a week after our tracking told us it was delivered, USCIS sent my fiance a letter saying they couldn't accept our case because they "Received an empty envelope from this return address"  as well as the envelop we sent our package in (which looked like an animal had had its go on it). After much panic, rushing around to put together a new one and sending it to my fiance to sign, his cheque was cashed and we received and NOA1 email. (still waiting on the hard copy though!)

So I feel ya pain, guys!

Hoping the next few months go by as quickly as possible!!

Welcome to our small happy female family!

(1- Seems there's not much April filers for now, at least here... Therefore, small.

2- Happy because the less the faster, though the 'happy' part here is somehow sarcastic because sure this process is nerve breaking. But they can't say we don't try to cheer up :)

3- Yeah, well... I think we all posting here are girls?)

I had read about your case in the March filers forum and really feeling for you. I can imagine how stressful that experience had to be, given how I started to freak out about our package being lost because USPS somehow had it on hold for 5 days... 😶

Hope you get your hardcopy really soon. Tomorrow! I'm starting to suffer of a lack of fingers to cross, but some will be crossed for you too. 😜

Hello everyone! I just wanted to say hi and join in since I'm an April filer too! I have sent in the package last Wednesday, April 5th to be delivered by the following Monday, April 11th via UPS. Today I just got a text and email that the case was received 😆

It's only been a month since I left my boyfriend/fiancé in Germany but I am already dreading the wait. I am not a patient person and can't wait to have back with me soon enough. I'm really hoping time passes by quickly enough for all of us!

Out of curiosity, when are you guys aiming for the wedding? With the wait being unknown, we're just thinking of going to the court house to call it a day (personally I don't care too much about a wedding) but wondering what you all are planning on since we're all on the same boat. Since my fiancé wants a wedding maybe I will at least entertain the idea 😜

April 5, 2017: I-129F Mailed

April 10, 2017: NOA1 RECEIVED DATE

April 13, 2017: NOA 1 NOTICE DATE (+email and text confirmation)

April 17, 2017: NOA 1 Hard Copy

Aug 28, 2017: NOA 2 Approval Date

Sept 1, 2017: NOA 2 Hard Copy

Sept 12, 2017: NVC Received (via email)

Welcome, welcome :)

It seems quite a bunch of us are moving around the same dates, but let's see what happens... And hopefully Jasmayne is in the same range with us soon enough.

I'm a very impatient person too, but I came from the US after a three months stay around three weeks ago, so I'm still doing *quite* fine :P

No real plans for the wedding here since there's so much uncertainty regarding dates and you never know what will happen. But yes, most likely just a court wedding soon after arriving, so we know there's enough time for the AOS process to start on time.

If that's what we do, I think my fiance's coworkers want to come, and not sure about his parents that live quite close in Vegas... We'll have to see.

Vegas is an option too since we met there and went three times together already... But I don't want that much of a hassle, honestly.

I don't even know about dresses and all that. I just think we'll check a 50's store here for something nice when my guy comes before leaving to the US together, because we used to talk about doing something in that style since 11/22/63 by Stephen King has a special meaning for us. :)

It's nice to think about it but kind of sad at the same time. Hard to make plans at this stage.

Hi guys,

yesterday my lawyer burdened me with.  Most saddest and quite bizarre news so get this straight I applied in NYC for my fiancé visa in August 2016 (hes in kabul) and we finally got his petition approved Feb 27 2016

but my lawyer made a mistake and misled us that his interview was this April 27th  so I found a sponsor I got all the paper work ready and sent to DHL in kabul then the next day my lawyer calls me and tells me wait a minute hes on an administrative processing hold so he canceled my fiances medican exam whcih was shpposed to be next week. I just dont understand how i wasnt informed sooner and accurately about his pending status.i had no clue about the admin processing i had im mind that everything was going smoothly and his interview would be in 3 weeks! My lawyer said therr wasnt a name on the interview date and mixed up someone elses case? Its his job to make sure and confirm my fiances interview? I mean this is very important how could he have missed that? My fiance has The cleanest background and works for Gardaworld a very well known security base of America in Kabul, so i dont understand why he's on admin processing about how long do you think the embassy will give him an interview date?

this is all very frustarting any advice id much appreciated

thank you

Hi all! New to Visa Journey. Filed on April 1st and still waiting to receive my NOA1. I'm hoping I will hear something soon …. the anxiety is already starting to kick in lol.

Welcome to the April filers forum!

Hope you get your NOA1 soon. Did you send the G-1145 form to get notifications via text and email? Also when was your package received? Because we sent the 30th of March but had a delay of 5 days thanks to USPS :P and received the email/text notification two days ago.

Try to remain calm for a bit more and sure you'll hear something soon. Crossing fingers for you :)

I guess I just assumed it would take a couple weeks to hear, but after reading about these USPS delays I will have to look into it. I don't have the tracking number of the packet, but I'm going to tell my fiancé to follow up.

You'll want to start your own thread and not hijack this one.  This is thread is for April 2017 filers and it appears you filed in August 2016.

Good morning my fellow sufferers!

I've been so busy with work the past two days, but glad our lovely April filers community is growing. A problem shared is a problem halved.

@Estibaliz you are so very wonderful, thanks for all the crossed fingers, and for feeling with me. My fiance called uscis yesterday, to see if there is any news. Well we knew we wouldn't get any information since it's still within the 30 day time frame they give themselves but it was worth a shot. With that being said : still no NOA1 for this impatient girl here 🙌😣. They told us since we sent our application from Germany it really can take up to 30 days. And of course we paid by money order so no chance to track anything.

To all them others that got their noa1 @Mojordan @asaeljethro @jshim CONGRATS 🎉🎊🎈

As of wedding plans : we both are not big fans of being center of attention, so no big wedding ceremony. This day should be special for the two of us and if it's just going to the court house and ending the day with Netflix and chill, we'd both be fine. 😃

@Cruise77 I'm gonna join estibaliz in finger crossing, let's see if that helps.
