Oh my gosh my interview just got scheduled for next tuesday 4th May!! (8 days away).  So much to do!  Trying to book my medical asap and also get a new police certificate as mine was valid for 6 months and just expired.
My heart is racing! In a good way :-)  My husband will still have to leave before me as he has to be in the states by the 7th May, but at least I won't be far behind!

yay, :) you and your child will be with your husband very soon, and get the chance to attend the occasions :)

done with the medical?

Medical is on May 9. We are going to arrive in Buenos Aires a week before the interview to have that done and stay there until the interview on the 15th. Fortunately it is an interesting enough city that we can spend a week there and not run out of stuff to do while waiting. Going to make a vacation out of it. B-)

Update on where I'm at ..... WOW everything just happens all at once. What a rush of a day!   This time yesterday I had no idea if it would be 3 weeks or 2 months til my interview. My husband leaves end of next week leaving myself and our baby until I get approved, so the uncertainty was wearing me down.  But it's all happening!

* Case complete 14th April

* Embassy received file 21st April

* P4 letter 24th April (I was an embassy expedite so they do my interview steps)

* New police clearance requested (due to expired previous request) 24th April

* Medical scheduled for 26th April

* Interview scheduled for 4th May

Trying to get to the USA by the 12th May (and it's 24hrs of travel) .... this should be interesting haha.  I also have to commend the Auckland consulate on how awesome they have been today.  3 emails to them and all answered within an hour of sending, even telling me what they have and what I can ignore on the interview paperwork because they have it already.    I have a new best friend at the embassy, her name is Elle and she's been amazing with previous queries as well as today.  (She also tells me she's the person checking through ALL my documentation ... no idea if she's interviewing as well but I kinda hope so).  I've seen so many horror stories of no contact with the embassy prior to the interview, but it's the opposite here in NZ.  I'm actually not nervous at all (may be closer to the date but for now I'm ok)

sounds like a good plan. We're going up to our interview city the day before just to make sure we're not risking being late.  Staying in a hotel super close!   (it's originally my hometown so nothing for me to see haha)

Dear VJ family,

Please help! I need to change my interview date due to an international trip I cannot miss, and I can't reschedule prior to my file reaching the embassy. It has been 4 business days since NVC informed me that they sent it. I tried the dhl website but it didnt work for me. Our case status says in transit still and I was wondering how long it took for the other members with an interview to change to ready?

Thanks!!!

Mine was case complete on the 14th, and arrived at the embassy on the 21st.  Once it said "in transit" I think it was 3 days?   How long do you have til your interview?  I would say give it another day or so then call the embassy.  Once your CEAC login says "ready" it means it has arrived in their mailroom

Thanks! I have another 2.5 weeks to go but I have to travel end of this week. I think it should arrive this week but I worry a lot! I emailed the embassy and they confirmed they don't have it. I will give them a call tomorrow to see...
