Copies of Documentary Proof?

Hello, I sent out my I-129F March 23rd (yesterday) and I'm preparing myself a couple months in advance and was reading the guide. After I receive my NOA2, I'm supposed to compile copies of the I-129F and other stuff to send out to my foreign fiancee. I was reading the part here that says... 

 

"A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). Your fiance should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well)."

"Send copies of the documentary proof that you submitted with the I-129F for your fiance to have on hand for their interview at the embassy. Your fiance should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well)."

 

Would anyone here be able to tell me what the difference is between the first and the second? I understand what they are asking for in the first. They want me to send him the copies of the I-129F that I sent out, but what are they asking me to send him for the second? Thanks to those that respond. You're very kind people here... and you guys have really helped me with this process.

Sounds more like the proof of relationship evidence you used.

 

Honestly if you both went over the info together when filling it out, and discussed it all, shouldn't really need to "review" it; but the CO during the interview can ask any questions from information within the original I-129f packet and from any other further evidence given at the interview stage.

Okay, I think I understand. The first they are just talking about the I-129F petition and copies of any RFE's (if i receive them, god hope I don't...) and the second is just talking about the proof of our relationship, as you have mentioned. Thank you for clarifying this for me!

"Send copies of the documentary proof that you submitted with the I-129F for your fiance to have on hand for their interview at the embassy. Your fiance should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well)." - I believe their asking you to bring a copy of your NOA2 notification.

It seems there's some conflicting information. I assumed they were just asking for proof of all the documentation that was sent with the K1. Such as travel tickets, receipts, proof of relationship etc; I will just have to keep looking around to hear other people's thoughts on what this means. Seems everyone is saying something a little different. Thanks for the input. I will also add a copy of the NOA2 just to be on the safe side anyways!

Depending on your country, items the foreign fiance will be required to bring to the interview will vary.  VJ recommends you send your foreign fiance an exact duplicate copy of the K1 Visa petition and all related documents you have sent to the USCIS.  

 

Will these copies be required at your fiance's interview?  Possibly.  Possibly not.  

 

It depends on your country and how the consulate officer feels that day.  Some VJ members state that during the interview, the consulate officer looked at every single document, asked several probing questions, and their interview lasted several hours.  Some VJ members state that during the interview, the consulate officer barely looked at anything, asked 2 questions, and approved their Visa.  It is all country specific, as some countries are high immigration fraud countries.  

This is why VJ recommends anything you receive or submit regarding your K1 Visa petition, your foreign fiance should have a copy as well.  It is beneficial for the foreign fiance to see what you have sent, for them to have a feel of the process.  Also, if requested at the interview, they will have a copy ready to go.  

And if it didn't get more confusing, some countries might also request ORIGINALS of some documents.  But, you will be informed of this later on in the process.

At this point, there is no need to worry.  You are a long way out from getting your NOA2.  Between now and then, I recommend reading up on the K1 Visa process specifically for your case in Australia.  Get connected with other Australian VJ members.

I'm pretty sure they're just reiterating the point. Send a copy of the full I-129F packet to your fiancé (with point 2 just reminding you to make sure to include all the proof of ongoing relationship that was part of that original packet).

 

I'd say it would definitely be good to include a copy of the NOA2 also, though!

Yes, but as much feedback about it as possible is good for me. I'm not complaining, I'm a newbie over here too! Lol. I will do basically whatever I have to to stand a better chance at approval. Although, I've noticed that approval rates are pretty high, so I shouldn't have anything to worry about.
