I am not sure if this is right place to ask this question as i am new here, if it is not i am sorry in advance.

My wife had interview on 31st Jan for CR1. It went ok they issued 221g and asked to submit an affidavit from family with passport. We submitted it on 2/6 with passport. I have been checking the site regularly date changed on the message couple times but it is stuck on 02/16 now and just says case is under Administrative Processing. Whenever we call consulate to talk to them (this is Delhi Consulate) they just transfer us to same dropbox location where we dropped off the paperwork. Is there anyway to get some info about what is going on? I am tired of waiting, is someone else on same boat?

We had IV interview on Jan 3, 2017. Until today we did not received our visa. Called couple times and they said they do not give any information over the phone. Wrote emails and once answered that our case is still under AP. Nothing else. Waiting for more than 3 months. We are so tired waiting for, very upset. :(:(

Unfortunately, the embassy doesn't provide updates until you either are approved or they decide to send your case back to USCIS. Since you submitted all the documents they required, I'm sure it's just a matter of reviewing your case. Sometimes the officer that first reviews your case needs a supervisor to review it to help make the final decision. Be patient, you should get an answer soon.

Hi everyone.  Our case has been in AP since October 24, 2016. I followed up with USCIS and was instructed to call after April 24th z (6 months) if no answer has been received. Just waiting then will get my Senator involved. When dealing with immigration issues you have to develop patience and be willing to persevere. Good luck on your journey.

My wife had her interview for CR-1 on December 22, 2016 at US Embassy in New Delhi, India. She was told that her case is being put on AP, since then there is not even one update on the case and nobody ever contacted us from the embassy. She was not asked for anything to submit. Its been 4 months and nothing whatsoever. I did contact the embassy recently to inquire about her case in writing, wherein I'm told that her case is continued to be on AP. I'm not in the process of involving my congress people. Though I know it wouldn't change the outcome of the case nor it would speed up the process, but I would like to push them up a bit so that her file won't be ignored.

For people waiting over 60 days for your CR1 on AP. All i can say is contact your senator. I contacted our states senator and he responded same day we contacted him on 8th April. Got a letter from him saying he will look into it and status online changed few days after that to issued. So if you are waiting for long i will suggest to contact your senator. It might not make them work faster, but at least your file will be picked up and if everything is good to go visa will be issued. Good luck to all of you, i know how frustrating this can be.
