Hi guys!

This might be a stupid question but for the 90 day window what does count: the arrival date at the service center or the date you put on the application? Is it possible to send it out before the windows open (in our case 25th of March) as long as it arrives after the critical date?

Thanks in advance...

Mailed our big box with signature confirmation today!! Good luck everyone, I hope this goes by quickly. A friend filed her I-751 in July & still hasn't heard, only received a letter stating she had permission to stay in the US another year. I'm just hoping we don't have to wait long!

I'm not sure but I personally would wait to send it until the window opens. We don't have everything quite finished yet, so we will file in the window. But good on you for being so organized and ready! :)

Hi again VJ. Long time no see! It's so interesting and weird to come back and see some really familiar "faces" from the first time around.

If anyone wouldn't mind looking over our list of evidence and providing any feedback it would be much appreciated! We are both students with barely any money, so we were a bit scared we might be lacking but I feel more confident now that we've got a solid bunch together.

@twochickies seems very similar to mine wifey (USC) is a student as well .. from what I understand join bank account, joint assets, joint insurance and joint living arrangements are what they are looking for.  It's easy to get an affidavit, harder to get co mingled finances unless you are a real couple.

Regarding the window, I was given a piece of paper explicitly telling me when to file just under 2 years ago when I was granted my GC, assuming this is normal procedure, also had a letter from USCIS a few weeks ago reminding me to file.

Thanks for the feedback! We don't have any assets, I think that's where my fear comes from. But the car insurance, two lease agreements, one joint bank account, and phone plan are hopefully enough. :)

And I think Jamy2014 was asking whether the "window" applies to the dates on the forms and the dates the package is actually sent out. That's why I personally would suggest playing it safe and date things, at the earliest, the first day the window opens if they are ready to send it.

I remember you too! It's crazy that we all spent so much time waiting and waiting for approval, finally got it and disappeared for about two years. Now we're all back again! It's nice to know we're all in it together though, and soon enough we'll go back to just living our lives not thinking about wait times. :)

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much!

I think it was a pretty horrible time for all of us (especially with all the delays some of us suffered at various stages!) so once we were here we wanted to forget all about it. I'm even getting slight trauma from looking at VJ again, we're with our spouses now so it's sooooo much easier this time around! I really hope everything goes smoothly, but not going to stress this one out. I think we put together a pretty good petition. If we get any RFEs it will be an inconvenience but we'll just fix it.

Don't worry about the assets, we live in NYC and don't own a house or car and neither do a lot of other people. I think you have a pretty good list of other evidence. :)

I think it was a pretty horrible time for all of us (especially with all the delays some of us suffered at various stages!) so once we were here we wanted to forget all about it. You're so sweet. That is exactly how I feel, I'm mostly just antsy to get it sent off! Once they have it I can go back to not thinking about this stuff at all.

So happy for you that it's easier. (L) This time next year it'll be citizenship time!

Its a lot less stressful than the first time around that's for sure.  Normally I head down to TJ every few weeks from here in SD, I sure won't be doing it for the few months after my physical greencard expires even if I have a NOA that gives me approval, it just don't trust ICE at the port of entry, especially after the executive order shenanigans of the current government. I'm just glad that this part of it is reasonably straight forward, if not a complete and utter waste of time (a 2nd round of biometrics ... honestly, i'm pretty sure my eyes and fingerprints haven't changed in two years) and massive inconvenience.  Fingers crossed that things don't get slowed down with all the messing with other aspects of immigration/hiring stoppages in public sector/removal of expedited H1-bs etc going on.

Definitely understand the feeling! I think after NOA1 you have to worry a little while longer about the biometrics, but after that we can forget about it for a long time. If you're still in NC like your profile says I think we'll be stuck together at VSC for a long time. When the time comes we can look into naturalizing with ROC pending (though hopefully not, hahaha).
