My spouse and I are going through the exact same process.  She came to the US, we married on a Tourist/Business Visa, she returned to her home country and we filed an I-130 for a CR1.

Good luck!

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Canada
Timeline

My wife and I married while I was on a B2, and I returned to Canada for consular processing. The CBP officer was told this at the time, and there was no issues.

Get your petition sent in asap! It may even be less than the year you're thinking, I went from file date to visa in hand in just under 6 months, and this was even after an incompetent law office we retained caused a 4-6 week delay in the process.

That's crazy fast for right now.   Could you do us a favor please and :time:

Mine was fast for the time 8 months... some where getting them in 3 or 4 though due to local offices adjudicating vs the NBC. At the time they had just opened NBC and it was SUPER overwhelmed.   People from Georgia were not happy however, as the local office in Atlanta refused to work on the I-130s and theirs took almost 2 years just for the petition!
