Hi,

My sister is Dominican, but lives in Italy.  We want to petition her (we are US Citizen) .  Just wondering if we  have to go thru the US embassy in Italia or thru the USA Embassy in the Dominican Republic.   Also if we have to go thru the Italian Embassy, does it take less time?   What is the wait time for US citizens siblings  in Italy.

Thank you

as long as she is legally living there

the waiting time is the same for both countries, 13 years, so you really don't know if she will be living there all these years, things could change

for now you can list Italy as the country where she will have her interview

Nobody knows how long, just how long those getting their visa's now have been waiting, likely to increase significantly.

Thank you,  Yes she is legal there.  We will just like to live in the same country.

Thank you.   I was not sure if they were faster,  Since not that many people from  Italy petition for green card.
