Scenario.... What if I did my interview three months before my two years of marriage but decided to enter the us after the 2nd anniversary, will I get a permanent green card or a conditional greencard?

I would really love to hear from people who have been issued the visa before their second wedding anniversary but waited until after their second anniversary to enter to the US to share their information.

If your PoE is after your 2nd wedding anniversary you will be issued a 10 year GC

Just make sure you politely point it out at POE. Sometimes they miss it. 

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:

Just as a note, a conditional permanent resident is still a permanent resident.  The only difference in your status is the length of your green card and ROC.  You have the same rights and limitations.
