Hey guys, me (Michigan) and my fiancée (Brazil) sent our papers to Texas Dallas on the 13th of January of 2017. It's the 8th of February and I haven't received any e-mail or any correspondence. How much time should I wait? I read tons of things that it could take 5 months before the NOA2 is approved, but I wanted to know how much time would it take for them to send the first e-mail saying that the NOA1 is being processed. I'm just afraid our papers are be lost or something. The cash hasn't been cashed yet.

I sent it to P.O. Box 660151 Dallas TX 75266 by the USPS like is written in "where to file" in the USCIS site (https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f) (not to Lewisville. Should I have sent it there, or does it make any difference?). The forms were insured, so I got an e-mail from the post office saying it got there. What do I do if it passes 30 days?

Thank you for your time.

Depends on how it was shipped. If it was sent via USPS, then he used the correct address. If he used another courier, then you use the Lewisville address. I used USPS and sent it to the same address as the OP and it was received within 2 days.

@OP

Was your check cashed? Did you track the package? Did you call USCIS and ask for your case number? Taking 30 days for a NOA1 is a bit long for an I-129F. It wasn't that unusual during the holiday season, but they appear to be back to the "normal" 7-14 day period from delivery to NOA1. It wouldn't be unheard of if they didn't get to your NOA1 yet, but it might not hurt to check up anyway.

Did you send it priority or Express?  Did you request tracking on your packet ?  With the amount of sensitive information in your packet you should have made sure you got a signature confirmation upon delivery.  If you didn't add any such proof of delivery, then you have no proof that it has arrived or not.

Really? I did a copy of the whole package, but is there a problem now that I have sent it to Dallas? Or is it fine if I just do it and send it to Lewisville?

I sent it as a priority, and I got the confirmation that it got there, yes. But is a P.O. Box, so nobody signed it.

Well you are only 17 days in.  The NOA1 can take 1 - 3 "Business" days (excluding weekends/holidays).  Me personally, I'd give it till the 17th.  If you don't hear anything by then I'd start calling; but I would print a copy of the delivery notification that it arrived.

Future reference - Whenever you are sending this type of sensitive material - After-all, your life is in that packet - You should always spend the extra to ship it there with tracking, signature upon delivery.  My Express USPS cost around $35 and was there within 24 hours.  I have signature conformation, etc.
