Still confused on what to so please help..

I came here Oct 29th 2016 on K1 visa and currently on the greencard process. I have not worked in US since i dont have my EAD yet but i have my SSN since Nov 8th 2016. I did not have a job back in my country neither nor a bank account with money. We filed married jointly with Turbotax but i see that we need to write a statement for me to be treated as a resident alien. Is there an example i can look at ? Thank you!
