Medical was delayed for the interview, under administrative processing

Hello, I'm in a situation where I've gone to the interview and it went just fine but my medical didn't arrive yet at the time. I was told that as soon as it arrives they will issue my visa. They kept my passport and they gave me a 221(g). I left, sent my medical office what they were missing from me and 10 days ago they said they got it and the next step was to send the package to the embassy. I interviewed at the Stockholm embassy by the way, traveling from Norway. 

 

Its been 10 days and I'm still under AP, no update since my interview date.

 

should I be worried? I read somewhere it could take up to 60 days!!!

You'll be fine. It take awhile for them to get it from Norway and as soon as they have it and have time to review it you'll be approved

I suggest you check in with the Dr. in Oslo to confirm that he has sent the package. As soon as it arrives at the consulate, they should continue processing your visa.

What A'N'L said. Check with the doctor and make sure they sent the papers.

 

When the embassy gets the medical, you can see the date change on the website. In fact, usually any time they view your case, the date will update. 

 

Once the embassy in Stockholm had all they needed from us, it took them about a week to process it and send me the visa packet.

Hello! Turns out that the medical office didn't send it until Tuesday!? 10 days!!! After the medical had every single document it needed. No updates on the visa status page yet :/

Its gonna be fine, the medical will be sent to the embassy and make sure you have your vaccination record cuz thats your copy and the xray cd

It was changed to issued february 6th and that I'd be getting it in the mail shortly. It said if it hadn't arrived within 10 working days I needed to contact the embassy. It's been 8...I'm worried, once again.

Ok, cause with all these previous delays I've lost patience, haha!
I'm so worried it got lost. All my plans are on delay and I have to cut my lease from my place by the end of the month before I move. I can't send out invites or book tickets before I got it in hand.

I know had the same feeling. I booked tickets the same day I had the visa in hand

Today don't count as a working day for them. It's president day so they are off. 

 

SO if you don't get it tomorrow then try and contact them.

I called the embassy and they just referred me to an email address. It still hasn't arrived.  I btw never got an SMS or email comfirming they sent it at all . I see some people got those.

I haven't seen any from the embassy in Sweden get text or mail from them. 

 

But yeah it should have arrived by now.

Turns out the visa arrived at my local post office the 10th!!!!
The IV unit sent me a tracking number today and it arrived 12 days ago! 
It was close to being sent back!!! I called the post service here and they apologized for not sending me a notice about how it wouldnt fit in my mail box. 

I am so pissed...if it wasnt for them sending me the tracking number about 10 days late they would have returned it. 
So many delays for so many things, Oh well, at least I can go get it today.
