I thought i saw somewhere that there is a certain form i need to send to be notified of updates for my K 1 Visa. Is this true and if so what form is it. I did provide my cell number on I-129 form,

 

 

 

K1 visa adventure 

02/20/2017- I-129F packet send to Dallas

02/22/2017- I-129F packet delivered

02/28/2017-- check cashed

03/01/2017-- NOA1 text and email received transferred to (CSC)

03/06/2017-- NOA1 hard copy received in the mail.

05/23/2017 -- Notified RFE

06/16/2017 -- Replied RFE

06/19/2017 -- CSC Received reply

06/26/2017-- Approved 

06/30/2017-- received NOA2

07/10/2017-- NVC Recived case

07/11/2017-- Case number assigned

08/14/2017-- Interview ( APPROVED )

 

AOS

11/29/17- Packet sent to Chicago lockbox ( I-485, I-765, I-131 included)

12/1/2017- recieved packet

12/6/2017 NOA1 text and email recieved

12/8/2017 NOA1 Hard copy recieved

12/26/2017 Biometrics done

03/31/2018 RFE - I-131

04/19/2018 Approved I-765, I-131 ( EAD & AP )

04/26/2018 Received combo card in mail

12/06/2018 Interview done - no decision

12/27/2018  APPROVED - card being produced

If you want to receive electronic notice of your petition being received, you should send a g1145 with the i129f. After the receipt notice, you'll have to set up an account on uscis.gov to keep receiving updates on your case

Hi Might836,

Once you get your I-129F mailed out you can created a timeline here on VJ it will help you and others track your progress and give you a very rough estimate for processing time to approval aka NOA 2.

Your info shows F-1 Visa and Vermont Service Center.

Your I-129F - Fiancee visa should be sent to Texas lock box and then they will forward it to CSC (california service center) but it will not technically be considered a transferred case when entering this info on your timeline.

There is also a January K-1 filers thread which you can review here:

Hello Mighty836, your I-129F is sent to Dallas lock box they process all payments and forward your case to where it needs to go. 

All I-129F's are ending up at CSC it has not always been this way but it has for many years now.

As service centers get busy or change the work can flow but for now it would be CSC. (california service center)

 

Did you sent your application to Dallas?
