HI all

I am a pharmacist came to the united states as a fiance visa holder. I got married and applied for EDA with AOS but it is still pending process. I don't have the EDA. since I wan to work fast I chose to do Pharmacy technician because it is an easy job for me and I know everything about it. I did an exam that gave me the Pharmacy Tech certification. now the board of pharmacy need me to do (on the job training) with any pharmacist for 180 hours (not paid) to give me the license. is that Okay or is it against the law to do training withour EDA?

did you pay to take the test?

is there any promise of work after the unpaid portion?

if you did pay for the test and there is no offer of work after then you are good to do it since you are paying them for a service.

if you did not pay or there is the chance of working form them after I would tend to wait for the ead. since this may be pre employment training which is not allowed.

good luck
