My husband and I are currently living in Denver and processing his AOS here. We would love to connect with other people in the city who are doing the same thing - either waiting for an AOS application now, or if you have gotten your green card already. Anyone from Denver want to chat and share stories?

I'm waiting on my AOS in Denver. Little bit frustrating as I can't get a drivers license or work and according to timeline data the EAD and AP should have come by now. Called USCIS last week and got an inquiry number but not heard anything since. Thinking of calling them again.

When did send in your application? We filed for my husband in September and he got his EAD card in December. Hopefully you will get yours soon!!

Travel and work card was relatively quick a year ago in Denver for us.

Interviewed Oct 5, 2016 but still waiting as we are (again) in background check (China).

So, yes, the time to interview after app is about ten months in Denver. Interviewer was professional and the interview non-stressful. We can only wait.

Wish luck to others!

My husband had his biometrics in Aurora as well! It went super fast, he was done in about 15 minutes. He also struggled with not being able to work - tv and video games actually do get boring once in a while! When did you two get married?

Thanks for the reply! Yes when we filed I was expecting to wait nearly a year for our interview, we filed in September 2016 so I was originally thinking over the summer, but our attorney has said that things are moving more quickly now, and it's possible we could get an interview by April. Can I ask why it is taking so long for you to get your card approved? Wouldn't a background check have been done prior to the interview?

CCP membership is investigated during K1 application (added about 2 months to our visa application) and comes up again during AOS. So, they do background check again.

I don't know who does the background check the second time. Believe it was DHS the first time (sure someone will correct me).

So, it is independent of the Denver office. The interviewing officer said "Congratulations" - which I took to mean because we were pregnant. My wife thought it meant "congratulations: you passed!" :) - but she did say expect 30-60 days for the process. We're past that now, but have been busy with a baby and not feeling an urgent need to get the 2 year card.

I do check every day but I think we will get the text before the site is updated from "interview scheduled".

Newlyweds!! Congratulations!! How did you meet each other?

As for biometrics, you should only bring the notice they send you in the mail which tells you when/where your appointment is (they will stamp this document as proof and give it back to you) and then your photo ID, like your passport. You can't bring phones into the facility so leave that in your car!

Hello fellow Denver AOSer! I have been really confused about the USCIS interview status'. It seems like some people's cases are like yours and get set to "ready to be scheduled" and then are left there for a long period of time, and others are just sent the notice that their interview has been scheduled. I am curious as to why that happens, and why you have been waiting that long. I wonder if that might mean since you adjusted from a K1 that your case might end up being approved with no interview. It seems like people who have applied over summer 2016 are getting interviews this Spring so hopefully yours will be soon!

I don't know what happen to my case since most people adjust from K1 sent packet in July and they all got approve without interview. I keep checking Denver field and I believe right now they are working on May( system right now March 16 at December 31,2016). I hope I can get my appointment by April or May. Good luck to all of us!
