I am the petitioner a U.S. citizen. I was born here. Wife just got her 10 year permanent residence card. So my question is when can we apply for her USA citizenship? She has been here 3 years here in Dallas with me. Sorry I am not good at this.

  • Have been a permanent resident (green card holder) for at least 3 years
  • Have been living in marital union with the same U.S. citizen spouse during such time

Thank you to both of you. My wife just got her PERMANENT RESIDENCE This past september. (4 months ago) so she cannot apply for citizenship? She had green card for 2 years with conditions. This feb. 22nd she will be a resident for 3 years. Can she apply this Feb?

If she has been a permanent resident since Feb 2014 then, yes. Please follow the guides. http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides/

Thank you, She will have 3 years this Feb. 22nd 2017 and looks like she is good to go for U.S. Citizen application. Again, Gracias
