June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

How long has he been in Ireland for and is he Asylum case still pending?

 

Also are you aware of why he was unable to return to India? Is this going to be a reason for the US to potentially deny him?

There are a lot of questions for this thread I think...

 

I can imagine this is going to be complicated depending on what status he is at, his circumstances, your circumstances financially when coming to whether you have filed your taxes back in the US, whether he has a valid passport etc...

 

I normally don't recommend an immigration lawyer because they are costly for something that is quite simple but it doesn't sound like your case is the 'normal' type of case they see on a regular basis. Perhaps try and contact a lawyer and ask the question.

Yes, his asylum case is still pending and I am aware of the problem which stopped him to go back to his home country. Here is the main point, that we are in love and can't live apart from each other. Even though, it seems complicated but at the end I have to file K1 visa to bring him with me as I am being transferred to the US for my work.:)

I would definitely consult with someone who is experienced in this or has dealt with the same situation previously.  I am unsure as to whether you could marry and file for a different visa. I don't know how he entered the country and whether he has his passport... I just have no idea I'm sorry. :(

 

I do wish you all the best for your future and I hope that your journey is as smooth as it can possibly be so you can be together when you go back to the US.
