AOS taking too long?what can i do

I have been waiting for my AOS since may 2016 I did my EAD after a while . I looked at the timeline in here for AOS mine seems longer then average. On the uscis website my case status did not change since then what should I do my case seems that is taking long time i feel helpless. Any suggestion??

A year is average these days.  Remember that things have slowed down significantly with the election getting an influx of naturalization applications

Its says ''we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number #. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you''
