US police clearance from abroad

Hi all! As I prepare to move to the NVC stage I realize I will need a police clearance  from every country ive lived in since i was 16. I went to college in Texas in an A-1 visa (diplomatic) and finished with an F-1 visa so will be needing one from the US.

Does anyone have had experience obtaining the police clearance from there? I understand it's through the FBI and i must mail my fingerprints. If anyonr could tell me their experience with it I would greatly appreciate it!

You do not need to submit a US police record, US immigration has access to those systems.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
