Airline question.

I google it and don't get a real answer so i want to see if anyone has input here.

AMS to ORD is a 3000 dollar flight one way (Yeah wow?!) it's non-stop.

It's 800 for a round trip. If she does not up for the return flight will we get a fine/fee?

Wanna use united.

I don't expect a refund just to save money off the initial price.

Make sure you cancel the return portion if you do not plan to use it.  Also, I am seeing direct flights under $650 with KLM - many dates in the coming months.

There is up to over 400 dollar fee for canceling it. So might as well just "Not show up"

Yes it's only 600 dollars united if you do round trip as well.

Perfectly fine to buy roundtrip and not use the return flight.  You will not be fined or have to pay a fee.

Didn't think so. Just wont use it then be a no show ;o

I second that you can just not show up for the return flight with a CR1 and it will be no issue.

Don't waste the money on a one way flight if you can get the return for cheaper.

With k1 its a bad idea to be a no show.  People have had issues with their I-94 saying they've left the country because they didn't cancel a round trip ticket.  With a IR1/CR1 visa, this obviously isnt an issue.  I would double check if they charge you to cancel or change the flight.  Normally cancelling doesn't cost anything but changing does.

It's a CR1 so she is here to stay anyway.
