Hey all,

This is for those who are in the same boat as me - the boat that slowly sails from NOA1 to NOA2!

We cannot wait to be united with our loved ones, yet the process offers no other info once NOA1 arrives. All we can do is wait...and its rather a loooong wait! :clock:

I was sitting idle, pondering how to pass the next few months or weeks away from my fiance, and I just started analyzing the processing times from VJ site - just to get some ray of hope!

I copied the processing times from the site to an excel and did some calculations ( and lots of editing and copy paste and deletes!)

In the process i did learn some extra excel maneuvers too! :D

GOOD NEWS - The best outcome of the analysis was that the average times have drastically reduced since July, and from an earlier 60-70 days average has come down to about 40-45 days. Hopefully this will continue in 2017 :)

I have converted the excel to PDF because VJ did not allow excel file to be uploaded.

Please find the attachment for your reference and if this might help you in any way.

(Pic and pdf both are attached. The graph is on the last page of pdf)

:D And this is why us March filers go "you don't know what waiting even means!"

On top of that don't forget the wait between NOA2 and NVC which is supposed to take like a week... many of us waited atleast another 30+ days there...

Seems like you're making use of your time though hahaha:goofy:

Good luck you'll be there in no time :)

Hi Ray and Ash,

It's a beautiful graph unfortunately timing is everything and things have changed  A LOT.

I just posted this last night  over on the November filers thread that I started:

Average wait per Visa Journey timeline search CSC from NOA 1 to NOA 2

2011 was 126 days

2012 was 163 days

2013 was 88 days

2014 was 49 days

2015 was 43 days

2016 was 67 days

last 6 months of 2016 was 49 days

last 3 months of 2016 was 34 days

I am currently waiting 70 days as of tomorrow with no end in sight.

It's true that for November average NOA 2 took about 36 days per your chart however you will notice over on IGOR's list that this average is from only 8 petitions out of over 200.

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=1&sortby=2

There has not been a single November member who received a NOA 2 in well over 2 weeks.

Those 8 November approvals had NOA 1 dated 11/1 and 11/2  since Dec 27th USCIS has virtually stopped working on I-129F's as they are focusing on DACA which are immigration  issues for children whose parents are illegal. The fear is that the new administration will try to stop DACA so USCIS at CSC appears to be putting the majority of their efforts towards those DACA filers and I-129F (honey bunny petitions) are put aside.

You can search DACA I-129F here on visa journey to see more info.

There is no telling how long it will take for DACA to be cleared from CSC so sit tight.

I got tired of waiting so will be heading to visit my honey bunny next month. Actually that was the plan all along since I filed Oct 29th. I figured she would be interview stage by then as as your graph shows it was taking less than 50 days on average.

Yes there are some I-129F's that are getting approved but many of these had RFE's sent out a month ago and CSC is just cleaning them up.

Employee takes stack of cases from cabinet and brings to desk so they may still have a few at their work station before they were instructed to focus on DACA.

Jim

Yes i removed a few outliers from the list...those with more than 200 days as well those with less than 15 days..these are exceptional cases but could skew the average, so i removed them to find a more accurate average.

1 year almost for NOA2 :( thats so sad and mustve been a trying time for you. You should've started calling them or went some diplomatic route after 5 months.
