If I make above poverty do I still fill out the assets portion on the new form? Has anyone gotten approved that left it blank?

If you have no specific assets such as bonds, life insurance payout, or real estate, place "None" per the I-134 instructions:

Can anyone state if question 8.b (under Real estate information) for debts applies to other kinds of debts (credit cards, car loans, education loans) or just mortgages? Should I list my consumer debts?

Questions 8 and 9 are under "Real Estate Information" and question 8.b. refers to debts related to real estate.

If you do not own real estate, input "none" in fields requiring $ amounts, per the I-134 instructions:

It asks if you intend to make specific contributions and if you tick yes then state in the bottom on part 7 what contributions you intend to make.

If it was me I would have asked the same question but if no one answered I would tick yes to make sure they read part 7 and then I would still write NA K1 visa or whatever it is that people were advising you should write on the previous form. Others may just say no. Because you don't intend to only make specific contributions but support them entirely.

That is confusing now isn't it because they used to be lots of answers on what to write but now there isn't.

hmmmm...

Sorry I can't advise you completely but maybe someone else will now come back and say what they would do

I wrote - I intend on providing any and all support needed through the duration of our marriage.

This is very helpful. Thank you.

Hi, could anyone please help with the following for the I-134:

Part 2: Information for the Beneficiary

Question 4: "A'-number for the beneficiary.

I've seen people advised to use the "A' number which appears on the NOA2 when filling out the DS-160. Does that apply to this form as well or should we leave that blank or none/N/A?

Beneficiary's Children:

Mine are well over 21 years of age, they've been independent for years and won't be joining us, obviously.  But should they still be listed on this form or just use N/A since this form is for support only?

Part 3: Income and Asset Information

If the US citizen makes well over 125% of the poverty line in salary or employment income alone,  is it okay to answer the questions about personal property, bonds, and life insurance with N/A?

Thanks very much for any assistance :)

Adding a statement like that is dangerous.

Somebody needs to sponsor her between POE and the moment you marry, and also somebody needs to support her in case you get divorced or not marry at all.

Dangerous? I dont agree with that. I haven't seen the new form, but I filed in Dec 2016, approved, married, and happy now. I put something similar to what DannyK said and had no problems. If you want just leave out the word marraige. You plan to support her entirely. They know what your trying to say. Not a big deal.

Here is what I decided to go with for Page 4, Part 3, Item 38 additional information:

The person named in part 2 is a K-1 visa applicant. I intend to receive, maintain, and support that person in full for the entire duration of her stay in the United States. The specific contributions include, but not limited to, room and board, money for food, apparel, personal care, transportation, entertainment, and any necessary medical expenses.

Probably completely extraneous, but I wanted to leave nothing to chance.

I wanted to add, "I intend to cover any puddles she has to walk over with expensive fur coats." But I run out of space. :)

Also, I can see my fiancee sticking her manicured nail into the form, a few years down the road, and yelling: "You promised money for entertainment. Pay up now, lazy bones!" LOL
