K-1 Which documents to send first

Hi everyone,

I've read the K-1 checklist and instructions of which documents to send, but I was surprised and wanted to make sure that we don't have to send a copy of the beneficiary's passport and/or birth certificate.  Just a passport photo and statement of intent to marry from him?

Thanks for any clarification. :)

I didn't send my fiancé passport or birth certificate either with my 1-129f (although it does ask detailed information about your beneficiary). I believe you only need the passport and birth certificate after it gets passed the NVC stage and on to the consulate.

Send exactly what the guide states and you're good to go. Once the petition is approved other docs are needed and its embassy specific and you can look the list up on their website
