Is it illegal if he doesn't tell the CBP that he's here for medical treatment?  If he's coming for med treatment, he must disclose purpose of visit?

Does anyone here have experience finding doctors/hospital that treats foreigners? I called a few doctors today including my family doctor and they don't treat people without insurance. If he has personal funds for treatment; you should be able to disclose that fact to the doctors you called.

Numerous B2 visitors with medical needs try to get away without paying, sticking others with the bill. Doctors are thus reluctant to see patients without insurance.

Understood definitely gonna listen to you advises. Thanks guys. I called two hospitals today and one are okay with him not having insurance and I should be able to get more info from them such as estimated cost and the process, and the other hospital I'm waiting to hear back.

My father-in-law is in poor health and want to come to US to get medical treatment. I was wondering if he'll be able to come here on a tourist visa for that? I don't know if it's too late, but do you know of any health insurance for visitors that are widely accepted here? Also, what other requirements are needed? Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Are you nuhc on another forum, with a very similar question?

Yes it posted. But what was odd was your question in that forum about illegality of not saying he's coming for medical treatment.

Why hide the true purpose of visit?
