Cost of Trump Wall - $12 Billion estimate cost

Per Trump estimated cost is around $12 billion.  Wall could be 50 feet high and made of pre cast concrete.   I have seen them put up buildings with pre cast, they go up very fast.

This is a not much money in todays economy, heck Trump is estimated to be worth $4 billion.   Lets get this wall started.

Similar to his 'dubious' 8 billion prediction last year.  According to other estimates, twelve billion is about half way there. Maybe Trump knows a wall guy.

Trump is known for bringing project in on time and under budget.

But for sake of arguments, Lets say it does cost $25 billion.  Again this is not a lot of money in todays economy.  Jerry Jones just built the Dallas Cowboys Training Headquarters and dropped $1.5 billion on it.   Again, Lets Get This Wall Started.

If they built the wall along Texas' north border I'd be all in. That way we could keep ebola out too.

You do realize there are all kinds of people coming in from Mexico.  People from China and other Asian countries use the southern border to illegally enter.    They come in and start breaking into house and barns looking for food/water.  They do a lot of destruction

Just news coming in from :

Details are sketchy but a young man and family were guiding a client and his wife in that region.Their cabin was robbed yesterday and they reported it.Last night when the client walked out the door he was shot in the arm and when the young wan went out to see what happened he was shot in the lung.I do not know if they have been airlifted out or any other detail ;but hoping for further info! Can Anyone post Further details.Praying for ALL!

Update: The young man shot at Presidio has been air lifted to El Paso and had emergency surgery. Is in intensive care at this time.Condition unknown. The story is that the Border Patrol was making a sweep and picked up about four drug smugglers. They may have thought these hunters were working with the border patrol. After their cabin was robbed they broke out their spotting scopes and located the thieves. They called in the Border Patrol and they recovered the stolen property. That night they were ambushed. The first victim was shot as he walked out of the cabin and the second was shot as he ran out to check on victim #1.Prayers for All

Just got an update:Young man is in an induced coma. They are going to start taking him off of o2 and wake him up to see if he is strong enough to go to surgery.

Presidio newspaper has posted a story.http://www.kxxv.com/story/34208344/two-injured-in-shooting-at-ranch-in-presidio-county-friday-night I wish I knew how to get Fox News on this story.Really tragic that a family can not enjoy a vacation in South Tx. anymore.Have not heard how Walker is today.I did not want to post his name until it became public.Good young man who had just got married.

Most likely they'll go over budget. Trump using the excuse of "Mexico will pay later" will make it magically seem like that won't be a problem.

Presidio has no newspaper that I've ever seen -- closest thing is probably The Big Bend Gazette (= worth reading), but that's more Brewster County.

If the shooting happened "west of Candelaria," Candelaria is crammed between the Rio Grande and the mountain.  There's nothing really west of Candelaria ("due west" is the river).  Candelaria is truly the very end of the earth.  (I've been there 3, or is it 4, times.)

Relevant trivia:  A few years ago, Candelaria lost its "Class B border crossing" -- a footbridge that CBP tore down.  That really separated the residents from their families & friends in San Antonio del Bravo, just across in Mexico -- and now, anyone wishing to visit SA del B has to drive 45 miles southeast to Presidio, cross, drive 45 miles northwest on lousy Mexican roads, and reverse the procedure to return to Candelaria.  Candelaria natives have to go to Presidio to find a doctor, whereas there was (is) one just across the Rio Grande in SA del B.

Furthermore, the residents on both sides looked out for each other -- anybody suspicious on either side of the border was immediately reported and chased off.  There are many reports (some anecdotal) about how the removal of these Class B footbridges harmed the towns on both sides.  I have strong personal feelings about that situation, and about the wall, but will keep them to myself.  Y'all can read between the lines.

Presidio County -- UPDATE:
According to the Presidio County Sheriff's Office the two patients remain in an El Paso Hospital being treated for the injuries sustained during the shooting.

The details of the shooting are still under investigation, the Sheriff's Office says that there is no evidence to support the allegations of a "cross-border violence".

I dunno, I'll take what the Sheriff says over some dude on the Texas Fishing Forum, where the "story" was taken from, unattributed. I seem to recall some other VJ member who was really into fishing in Texas, maybe he tipped our resident alpha off about the existence of that forum?

The wall is going to be portable and protect diplomats and other Americans when they are in other Countries? Magical thinking seems to be a thing with Donald Trump fans.

Pointing out the civil and criminal unrest in a 'GunFree" country.   Mexico has been taken over by the cartel and has spread into the USA.  We have cartel hits already going on in Dallas on family with wealth and/or lawyers for or against the cartels.
