Just a quick question someone that has just done the fiancé visa process could answer. How much money do I need to make for a family of 3 (her, her daughter, and I) for the affidavit of suport. She is in the Philippines. I can't get a strait answer from anywhere. Every where I look it's a different amount on every website.

The Philippines embassy usually doesn't ask for an I-134 unless they already suspect an issue (i.e. recent grad). Either way, I believe they go by the 100% of the federal poverty line guideline. For a family of 3 in the continental US, that's currently $20,160/year. That said, you will need 125% of the minimum for AOS after marriage, which would be $25,200/year in your case. These are minimums....it's up to the officer to make a determination on the likelihood of your fiance becoming a public charge. If so, they may request a joint sponsor.

That's for the fee waiver and uses 150% of the poverty guideline.

To whom it may concern,

 

Always look up the I-864p on the USCIS website to get the most currently used poverty guidelines, both 100% and 125%.  It does vary by state a little.  These tend to change yearly in about April.
