Before leaving Ghana, what shots are you required to show the Ghanaian immigration officer before you leave Ghana? Do you have to show them your vaccine record?

At interview you will have your Medical Records sealed. That's what you will hand over.  It's all there. The Physician at medical will determine what shots you nee. If you ever had shots all that.

Look at your consular information in your portal for specific shots required.

It will depend on the flight you board.

If you are flying direct from Accra to New York with Delta, you only need the vaccination you were required to do for your medical exams. Nothing fancy, so long as you passed your medical exams in Ghana you will be fine.

However if you intend to make a transit in Europe make sure you have your yellow fever inoculation card, and it is up to date. Europe is notorious for detaining people without the appropriate yellow fever vaccination. US border patrols don not focus on the yellow fever like Europe does.

My husband has his sealed small envelope. The doctor at the medical center told him that he needs to get another shot of hepatitis and tetanus before he leaves. The embassy didnt tell him he needed more shots. The tetanus shot last for ten years why would he have to get another one

You need to show up your flight initials , your passport with your visa inside before you will be allowed to enter at ghana airport . I was asked for only those stuffs. Thou I had my yellow fever certificate and vaccination short record card given to me at Holiday trinity . My flight was klm transit to Amsterdam. I was not asked for any other thing at Amsterdam other than my passport with my visa inside and the packet giving to me at the embassy ..  I hand over the packet to the officer at Port of entery and I was not ask to show anything else . A very few interview was conducted at Port of entery thou..

Did you go into Amsterdam? I'm just wondering because my fiance is now booking looking at flights and may have to do a flight with transit, but I didn't want him to leave the airport and cause any confusion if they are going to look at his vaccination card.
