A transcript actually provides all the information you need from your tax return, w2's, 1040's etc. This might help you out, too. It explains what you can add to your affidavit of support (both I-134 and I-864)

Thank you. What did you mean by it explains what I can add to my affidavit of support? Wouldn't a copy of my taxes for the last 3 years be more detailed and provide even more information?

I know it says to get a bank officer to say when account opened, depositis, etc. Can I just give them my original bank statements? I'm worried I have to go to my bank to get it done which is not easy for me since I live in China currently. Hoping my original bank statements which show deposit is and balance will be sufficiently.

Unfortunately if providing bank statements they need to be signed by a bank officer to fulfill the requested evidence... again..will Chinese consulate specifically care or even look at it? I have no idea. :/

Do you have phone banking?

I am not, and he said self-employed per-se, which to my understanding would be contractual based work. As long as his filing income is at or above the poverty guidelines, he should not need all of that extra information for China, Your employer information is not made available on your transcript, only your filing information.

To clarify on self-employment. I've made several investments in commercial property. These have provided stable income to me consistently over the last 3 years and continuing. I don't know if this is called self-employed. Hope that helps understand my situation.

It's easy to explain in the way that one piece of evidence can be  "manufactured"..but the more official documents together on official letterheads..signed...etc.. just makes your claims more bullet proof.. and harder to falsify..

It's just rly hard to know what will actually be needed on the day since that's entirely to the discretion of the consular officer..

I'll check to see if they can do it but guess they need me to be in the bank to make the request. Yes I have mobile banking since all my money is back in States. Need it to pay my phone, daily expenses, rent, and credit card bills.

Understand. Will follow your and Chris advice on tax transcripts. I have the same concerns on the discretion and luck of the draw on consular officer. Hoping they just look at the income from the transcripts. With this in mind do you suggest I send in a one page letter explaining or just roll the dice?
