Does the interview need to be scheduled within the date listed on the NOA2? Ours says March 15. Does this mean my fiancé has to interview before March 15 or could it be done later as well?

Yes the interview should be done before the expiration date on the NOA2. However, most embassies will extend the validity of the NOA2 by three months at a time, up to 1 year. Some embassies extend it automatically, you should contact the US embassy in the country where the interview will be held to find out if they extend it.

Ideally your interview can still happen before Mar 15...You still have almost 2 and half months.  And if at time you need to extend it, hen contact embassy.

This is exciting! We filed in mid-October and thought it would take much longer. My fiancé has to finish up a job and can't come to the states til June, but this is still really exciting to know we are so close to our hopeful approval. ☺️

S/he can still have his/her interview in the beginning of March or mid-March before the expiration date, the visa will be valid for 6 months from the date of the medical. So if your fiancé can get a date to do the medical in the end of February or early March s/he can still use the visa in June when the job is done.

Fantastic! I plan to make one more visit to his country in March, and how fun if we can celebrate visa approval together. :)
