I noticed that the I-129F form i originally filled out said it was expired 6/30/2016 so I proceeded to fill out the new one that expires in 2018. Although the G-1145 Form 9/30/2016 and that is the only one they have up on USCIS to fill out. Will that throw a wrench in getting E-Notifications even though thats the only one they have available that I can find?

It's not expired and ok to use.  I just used the same form for AOS with no problem.
