Hello everyone! 

 

So my medical is already set on the 7th of January and interview is on the 25th of January here in UAE. I am anxious to get these over and done with and I keep on checking my filer to make sure I have everything ready. But the OC in me takes over and I am worried what could I have been lacking so far. We have filed K1 visa and decided to get a joint sponsor as my fiance's income for 2015 did not meet the  required amount to reach the poverty line. In this case, I got my aunt as our joint sponsor and I have the following documents ready:

 

•DS-160 (with barcode)

•Appointment letter

•passport (original) + 1copy

•birth certificate (original) + 1copy

•NBI (National Bureau of Investigation - Philippines)

•Certificate of No Marriage

•Receipt for the Visa payment

•Police Clearance 

•IMBRA Pamphlet

•2 sets of US Passport size photos with white background (Petitioner and Beneficiary)

•Photos/Scrapbook

•Screenshots of Conversations

•Passport Copy (Fiance)

•I-134 Form

•Letter of Intent to Marry (updated; closer to the date of interview)

•W2 (Fiance)

•Pay History (He does not have paystubs but he has the record of salary he has got listed in table form)

•Employee Certificate

•Tax Transcript from IRS (He does not have Form 1040 as it will take 60days for him to get a copy of that which will overlap with the date of interview)

•Passport Copy (Joint Sponsor)

•Form I-134 (Joint Sponsor)

•Form 1040 (Joint Sponsor)

•Social Security Benefit Statement (Joint Sponsor)

•Form 1099-R (Which shows the benefits and pensions they have received for the year 2015 as my aunt and uncle are both retired since 2010)

Oh I forgot to include that my fiance also gave me a copy of his bank statement / current account balance so i am also taking it with me and including it in the file to provide to the embassy during the interview. :) I just noticed that I missed putting that on the list I posted above.

Hey!! They actually took my w-2, tax returns n employment letter. So luckily I send him my w-2s lol. The interview went well, they kept his visa. Due to the holidays, the medical exam has taken longer than expected. I called this morning, and they will be sending out the medical exam to the embassy tomorrow morning. But interview was nice and smooth. Glad that nightmare is over.
