Hello VJer's,

coming from the Removal of conditions forums to the Citizenship forums.  A question please,  my wife was approved and already received her 10 green card, came here on a K-1 Visa to marry (I-129F).

Now we are in the process of wanting to file for her natuarlized citizenship.  I already have the documentation and the N-400 prepared.  Now my question is we can apply for the citizenship 90 days (3Months) before the 3 year period, is this 3 months before the expiration of her conditional greencard expired????  Her conditional greencard expired on 5/16/2015.   She arrived here on 12/12/2013 and we married on 12/20/2013.  Her conditional greencard was approved and received on 5/16/2014.  Dont remember the exact date but she has already been approved and received her Removal of Conditions (10 year greencard) back in September of 2015

Dont mean to make this sound so confusing, just need to know when that 3 month period starts, because I do not want to send in the paperwork for the N-400 too early and have them send it back to me.

Thank you for the assistance.

You look at her greencard, for the "resident since.." date; this will be the same on the old conditional card and the new ten year card.  Add three years to that, subtract 90 days, and that is the date you can file.

Subtract 90 days (not 3 months!) from the 3 year anniversary of the "resident since" date.  Good luck!
