US Citizen changing name during beneficiary's AOS process

Hi,

My wife is a US citizen, (I am from the UK, in the US on a K1 visa, filed for AOS) and she want's to change her surname to mine.

I am wondering what this might complicate with regards to my application for AOS as all paperwork will have her maiden name.

I have my EAD and AP, and filed for AOS in October 2017.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

She can just go ahead and start using it and change it on documents and with banks and authorities when she likes... The marriage certificate is her supporting documentation for this if ever it is asked for. :)

My worry is that we have paperwork etc filed for the AOS process, so when we progress with that, my wife will have a different name to all our paperwork.

I can't seem to find anyone that's had a similar issue on here!

Maybe since it isn't a problem. You have the marriage certificate it's all you need if asked. ANY ID that she has any document that she might be asked about...all she needs to show is the marriage certificate for evidence...it has your name.. ie her new name..
