221g Missing Documents Singapore Consulate

I had my interview Dec 27, I was given a 221g for financial evidence from Petitioner/Joint Sponsor. My Joint sponsor 2015 tax transcript doesn't meet the poverty guidelines but current income does. Showed the CO her current pay stub but she asked me to submit Tax Return for 2016 instead. The thing is, would W2 2016 sufficient proof of income instead since E-filing wont be available until Jan 23? Or should I wait until she files her tax return and submit it? The 221g was not specific as to what financial evidence. I  know I would still be waiting after submission but should I start waiting for result soon with the W2 or should I wait for the tax return then submission and wait for the result?

Just an update I did submit the W2 instead of the Tax Return and visa was Issued today. There was some delays since at first I have submitted only 1 W2 out of her 2 Jobs thinking it was enough. Do see  my signature for a more detailed timeline for my case. Thank you and God bless!
