Minor error in paper work. Help? Replying to RFIE

I made a small error when filing out my joint sponsors I864, I accidentally wrote that he was employed by a company but he is actually the owner of the company.

So the issue is with this is that I received an RFIE (for insufficient evidence) which I am going to mail out soon but I am unsure if I should also stick a new revised I-864 in there with the fact that he is the owner of the company instead of an employee.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Honestly I would just give the information they asked for. 

The original I-864 stated the joint sponsors income, that's all they care about really.

Sending in a new copy with this correction about being the owner and all probably won't change their opinion; but might just cause confusion too.

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

Since the evidence required for a self-employed person differs a bit, as you say you don't have a w2 for example and you can't very well write a letter of employment, I would do a new i-864 and write a brief cover letter explaining ... to avoid trouble for not being truthful...

I think this might be best option.
